However, Banner’s pursuit of a cure is interrupted when Emil Blonsky, a soldier who desires the Hulk’s power, undergoes an experimental procedure that turns him into the monstrous Abomination.
Banner is forced to confront the military and the Abomination in a destructive battle in Harlem, New York, to protect the city and those he cares about.
Legacy:

It also did not receive as much critical acclaim as some other MCU films.
The film established the character of the Hulk within the MCU and laid the foundation for his future appearances in team-up films like “The Avengers.”
While not as commercially successful or critically acclaimed as some other MCU films, “The Incredible Hulk” is still recognized as an important part of the larger cinematic universe and helped pave the way for the continued development of the Hulk’s character.
Box Office: The film grossed over $263 million worldwide.
Edward Norton’s portrayal of Bruce Banner was well-received, and elements of the film, such as the action sequences and Hulk’s visual effects, were praised by audiences. Despite its challenges, the film remains an integral part of the MCU’s history.

The two friends navigate the challenges of growing up and consider their futures. Enid becomes intrigued by a personal ad she finds in a newspaper and decides to prank the man who placed it, Seymour, played by Steve Buscemi. However, as Enid gets to know Seymour, she becomes drawn to his outsider personality and record collection. Their relationship becomes a central focus of the film.
“Ghost World” explores themes of alienation, the search for identity, and the difficulty of transitioning into adulthood. It delves into the contrast between the girls’ subversive worldview and the conformist nature of the adult world they are entering.

It is often praised for its exploration of the alienation and disconnection that many young people feel as they transition into adulthood. The film is loosely based on the comic book series of the same name created by writer Alan Moore and artist Kevin O’Neill. “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” features a team of literary characters from classic works of fiction who join forces to combat a mysterious threat. Here are some key details about the film
Release Date: July 11, 2003 (United States)
Director: Stephen Norrington

Plot:
Set in an alternate version of the late 19th century, the film brings together a group of extraordinary individuals, each with unique abilities and characteristics drawn from classic literature:
- Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery) – The legendary adventurer and hunter.
- Captain Nemo (Naseeruddin Shah) – The enigmatic captain of the Nautilus submarine.
- Mina Harker (Peta Wilson) – A vampire and the wife of Jonathan Harker from Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”

This eclectic group of literary characters is brought together by the British government to stop a villain known as “The Fantom” (Richard Roxburgh), who threatens to plunge the world into chaos by inciting a global war.
As the League embarks on their mission, they face various challenges, including battles with Fantom’s henchmen, uncovering his true identity, and confronting their own personal demons and secrets.
Legacy:
“The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” received mixed to negative reviews from both critics and audiences upon its release. Despite its intriguing premise and potential, the film faced criticism for its execution, pacing, and deviations from the source material.
The film’s underwhelming reception contributed to Sean Connery’s decision to retire from acting, as he was reportedly dissatisfied with the production. Additionally, it marked the end of director Stephen Norrington’s career in major Hollywood filmmaking for several years.
While the film has a dedicated fanbase and some viewers appreciate its concept and characters, it is often regarded as a missed opportunity to bring together iconic literary figures in a more satisfying way. Alan Moore, the creator of the original comic, distanced himself from the film adaptation and has been critical of it.
Despite its shortcomings, “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” remains an interesting footnote in the realm of cinematic adaptations of classic literature and has become a cult film for some fans of the source material and the concept of a literary crossover.
